Friends

I once think that sharing memories in the past together with friends is a way we can relate to each other and have fun...

but...

it turns out I'm kinda wrong the moment I saw 'nonsense' this word throwing back flat on my face...

I'm such a busybody trying to know every details of every gossips but I realize that friends are really annoyed by it. Two friends ask about the same gossip but I am the one who always make people feel irritated. Another friend being mean and he will be forgiven easily while when I am being mean with just the same intention, I'm considered as insulting people. As the chinese says, 同人不同命。

Why do I care about the things in the past?
Because that's the memories we shared that other people do not share. That's what make us best friends.

Why do I always say that you are better than me?
Because I really do feel that way! It's a compliment and it never meant to be sarcastic.

Sometimes people have to understand. Apologizing immediately and taking all the blames doesn't cure the problem. It made me feel bad and to make it even worst, although you said it's your fault, it will make it turn out that I'm the bad guy. It's a really wise move if you wanna make me be the bad guy, but I'm sure you didn't do it intentionally because you are my friend. Just maybe that you didn't realize it~

I am trying hard to understand you. I hope you can do the same for me.

Film review: Insidious

Hey guys, I'm back to my blog after for so long!

This time I'll have a new direction for my blog. I am not sure whether it will work out or not. I'm going to write some reviews and my opinions about movies that I watched or maybe music. I hope you all will find my reviews helpful!

I even posted a poll for you all to vote. You can see it on the right hand side of the blog. I'll be changing the questions every few weeks! Feel free to vote! ^^

This is my first post. I'll definitely have to improve so much more. Anyway, thanks for supporting!

I'm going to start off my 1st post by writing my personal review for the movie 'Insidious'. (Warning: Spoilers ahead!)

My coursemate and I were looking for ghost movie to watch last month. He came across this 'Insidious' in the website and he read some comments about this movie saying that it was scary. As a horror movies fan, I decided to give this movie a chance. I have no idea what is the meaning of "Insidious" and I don't have any idea what to expect from this movie too. However, this movie turns out not bad.

The story is roughly about a couple, Renai (Rose Byrne) and Josh (Patrick Wilson) experience paranormal events since their son, Dalton went into coma. This is because Dalton has the ability to astral project, just like his father, Josh (this is explained later in the movie). He can wander around the parallel spirit world, which he does this in his sleep and his ability has attracted demon to separate his spirit from his body hoping that he can take over it for his evil purposes.

The movie started off like an 80s movie. I even doubted that it was a 2011 production! Haha! The beginning of the movie, I felt that it was like I was watching the movie version of 'Paranormal Activity'....just a little. The movie successfully built up the scary environment in the beginning. It kept me wonder what the story was all about. As for the storyline, I think that something was quite weird because as explained in the movie, Josh was terrorized by an old, terrifying woman spirit when he was a kid. His mother kept all the photos of Josh that had the old woman spirit lurks behind him so that Josh will forget about it. I just don't understand the concept. Do you think by letting the young Josh to forget will prevent the spirit from disturbing his spirit? Or to prevent him from astral projecting? I don't think so....

The highlight of this movie in my opinion is Elise Reiner (Lin Shaye), who deals in paranormal activity. She is a friend of Josh's mother. She is like the kind of people who is old but still strong in doing 'exorcism'. I always feel that she saves the day in the movie (but she failed to save the day in the end). She is like the western version of 罗兰 (Hong Kong artist). LOL! The 2 men working with Elise are kinda the 'comedy' of the movie, which is a good thing, giving the storyline abit of relaxation. The equipments they used are very interesting, especially the 'oxygen mask' thing that they used to contact with the spirit world. It's like watching 'Ghost Adventure'.

Elise...I kept calling her 神婆 and 'cheering' for her throughout the movie.

'Insidious' did have a few scares that made me jump. Especially the one that Renai saw a man wandering outside her bedroom and suddenly appeared in the room, the red-faced demon who suddenly appeared behind Josh, and the ghosts appeared in the camera using different colour slides. It didn't disappoint me in terms of scary effects.

The ending is predictable. I remembered I told my friend about my prediction of the ending and it really turned out that way. Therefore, for ghost movies lovers, this is not a lame one. You should definitely give 'Insidious' a chance although the storyline is abit predictable.
